The Vermont Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its new Opportunity Fund for Southshire Youth, which is designed to help at-risk youth in the Bennington, North Bennington, Pownal, Shaftsbury, and Woodford areas.
The magazine notes that the fund will focus on projects that "empower and support Bennington-area teenagers, particularly those facing challenges and limited access to opportunities due to economic distress, disengagement from school, mental health issues, racism, gender identity, disability, legal status, or other reasons."
The deadline to apply is March 7, 2023.
